Xuancheng is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Anhui province, People's Republic of China. Anhui is a province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in east China, across the basins of the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River. It borders Jiangsu to the east, Zhejiang to the southeast, Jiangxi to the south, Hubei to the southwest, Henan to the northwest. In Xuancheng the Wu dialect is spoken. Xuancheng total population is 2.73 million in 2004 and it has area of 12,340 square kilometers.

Xuanchengis also said to be as the town of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and pursue enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
