Nanning




China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. Nanning is the capital of Guangxi autonomous region in southern China. It is known as the green city because of its abundance of lush tropical foliage. Nanning is located in the southern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 160 kilometers from the border with Vietnam.
 
A settlement was first established at Nanning's present location in the Eastern Jin dynasty around 318 Anno Domini when it was called Jinxing County. Since then its name and area of administration has changed several times. During much of that time, it was the administrative center for the Gui-Xinan Circuit. Starting in the Sui dynasty it received the name Yongzhou. In 1325 the name was changed to the present Nanning. In 1914, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region moved from Guilin to Nanning. Nanning's population as of 2004 is 880,400. Thirty-six ethnic groups are represented in Nanning including Zhuang, Han, Miao, and Yao.

Nanningis a prefecture level city which is surrounded by various countries. The city supports modernization and values business. Various industries have evolved in this city. Along with all this, the city has an outstanding natural beauty.
