Xuanwu Park

China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them.
The Xuanwu Lake Park is situated at outside of the Xuanwu Gate, the ancient Nanjing City was opened to the public in 1911. Because it lies beside the beautiful Xuanwu Lake, it becomes one of the best known scenery in Nanjing City.
With a circumference of 15 kilometers, the Xuanwu Lake sheltered by hills and surrounded by the city. People called it Sangbo or Mulberry Lake in the ancient times. During the period of the Southern and Northern Song Dynasties, legend has it that a black dragon had rolled and flown into the clouds from the lake and so it was named Xuanwu Lake.
The Xuanwu Lake Park has picturesque scenery. Some little islets in the lake such as Liangzhou or Liang Islet, Lingzhou or Water Chestnut Islet, Cuizhou or Green Islet, Yingzhou or Cherry Islet are link with the bank by bridges, each islet is distinctive. The pavilions and towers form delightful contrast with the mountains and lakes. The waves in the lake glisten bright and colorful. The scenery is different in the four seasons. The trees in the park are unique as their heights and levels are different, with color varying from season to season.
Separated by the causeways and bridges, the lake looks like natural pictures from one islet to another. Seen from the lake, the ten-mile-long causeway seems like a beautiful green screen, in which the bridge is partly hidden and visible. Like a green chain, the causeway links the Zhongshan or Bell Mountain and Cuizhou or Green Islet. This park also has a zoo, a children park, teahouses and an open air theater.
China is a popular travel destination for visitors and globe trotters from all over the world who appreciate its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious local cuisine, hospitality and safety. Quality is China's top priority.
