The Western Xia Mausoleum is situated on the eastern slope of Helanshan, in the western suburbs of Yinchuan. This burial chamber contains the tombs of emperors of the Western Xia dynasty that lasted from 1038 to 1227, tombs of emperors and some 140 annex tombs are spread all through the area. Each tomb is a full structure that includes sacred walls, watchtowers, halls, stele pavilions and pagodas and some are as big as 100,000 square meters. So far only 1 tomb and 4 annex tombs have been excavated.
 
The Western Xia Mausoleum is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place will leave a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justify the proud cultural tradition of China.
