Stanley is an attractive village on the south side of Hong Kong. The drive down the coast to Stanley provides dramatic views of Hong Kong's beaches and rocky shores. Once in Stanley shop at Stanley Market for bargains factory-outlet clothing, porcelain, brassware, embroidered handicrafts, rattan furniture, artwork, souvenirs, silk products and much more. More shopping is to be enjoyed at Stanley Plaza, a new complex that includes the reconstructed Murray House, the former British army quarters.
 
Other places of attention include the former home of popular Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng, the Stanley Military Cemetery and Tin Hau Temple. There are also two beaches, Stanley Main Beach and the smaller St. Stephen's Beach. Windsurfing and wakeboarding are available at Stanley Main Beach, while you can go kayaking from St. Stephen's Beach. After shopping and exploring, you can relax at one of the many excellent alfresco cafes, bars and restaurants on Stanley Main Street.
