Red Cliff Village

China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them.

Red Cliff Village has grown as one of the tourist attractions since recent times. This village was founded by the Chinese Communist Party as their headquarters during their Second World War alliance with the Kuomintang against the Japanese. All Chinese Communist Party representatives controlled Chongqing stayed at Red Cliff Village. Zhou Enlai lived here for a number of years during the war and his room has been preserved.

There is also a museum in the Red Cliff Village that has a large collection of photos and a small collection of essays and revolutionary memorabilia. Even though the village meant partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain. It also enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places in China.
