The hill consists of Yuyue Hill, Siwang Hill, Crane Peak and the tallest Bright Moon Peak at 223 meters.
 
Piled Festoon Hill site has been a tourist attraction for over 1,000 years and tourists come to enjoy the many inscriptions and Buddhist figurine generally dating from the Sui and Tang dynasties of 518 to 907 AD. Some of the damage to these historical relics is a legacy of more recent Chinese history and the Cultural Revolution.
