Jiaoshan stands in the middle of the Yangzi River, 5 kilometers, and northeast of Zhenjiang. To get to this island you need to take a 30 minute ferry ride. Covered with greenery, this green island has been likened to a piece of floating jade on the river. The Monastery of Stability and Wisdom dinghui si which dates back to a thousand years is on the island. There is also the renowned Forest of Tablets beilin which comprise over 400 stone tablets inscribed in the handwriting of some of the most excellent known calligraphers in China dating from the 7th century to the present.
 
Jiaoshan Islet is also named as the floating jade on the Yangtze River. On the Isletthe century-year-old treesbamboos and flowers are densely covered. The Dinghui Buddhism Temple was established in Eastern Han Dynasty about 1800 years ago. It is the most olden temple in the era of southern part of Yangtze River. The temple houses and pavilions are in the refuge of the big trees. The Islet is known as the hill with woods and wraps the temple. Jiaoshan Islet is the national principle unit of relic’s safety for the Islet is rich of calligraphy.
 
Jiaoshan is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place will leave a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justify the proud cultural tradition of China.
